A service rating to 1000° F (538° C). No health or environmental hazards (non-asbestos).
Flexible for easy installation around corners and is bondable to most materials.
Excellent thermal endurance and chemical resistance (pH range 4-9). Resists most acids and alkalis*.
Will not absorb water or attract mold/mildew.
With Fil-Tec's graphite coating it is even more durable for long life under abrasive conditions.
PTFE impregnation provides the best in chemical and abrasion resistance at high temperatures.
Exhibits minimal fraying or unraveling when cut, making clean tight seals and installation easy.
Can be used for a wide variety of gasket applications such as boiler or furnace doors, and crucible or ladle lid seals as well as kiln and kiln car seals.
The preferred choice for seals between cars in the brick firing industry, and as crucible lid and pot door seals in the aluminum casting industry, and as window seal in gas fireplaces.
Because Fil-Tec fiberglass Tadpole Tape is flexible and compressible it is easy to use and has superior seal between uneven surfaces.
When there is a need to contain hot gasses, Fil-Tec fiberglass tadpole tape is the preferred material of engineers and shop foremen in your industry.
*Exceptions: Hydrofluoric and Hot Phosphoric Acid
