FT Filler / Polyester / Oval
The Gelgon FT is a water swellable polyester single-end yarn construction. The SAP coating is custom designed for Fil-Tec and applies with our proprietary process. The oval shape lends itself very well to fill the interstices between conductors. This is our economy version of our Gelgon FTW. For longitudinal and helical applications.

- Virtual elimination of dust. Promotes a safer work environment by eliminating fugitive particles that can cause operator health concern and premature wearing of moving parts of the equipment
- Improves operating speeds when compared to the use of flooding compounds and electrostatically applied SAP
- Cables made using our Gelgon water blocking yarn solution pass the 15 minutes and one hour water penetration tests. They additionally pass the connector and aging tests (500 cycles)
- Extremely fast reaction speed when in contact with water. 80-85% of gel forms in the first minute
