Even Curl

Our Even Curl wick is the most consistent curling and self-trimming wick available anywhere. It gives you great performance in extruded and molded candlesticks as well as all types of pillars, tapers, votives and tea lights.

Our balanced construction is designed to produce a gentle curl that is self-trimming and will not over curl. The Even Curl wick provides a straight wick posture and curls high on the wick’s stalk. This raises the flame and helps maintain a centered pool. Fil-Tec’s scientifically engineered chemical treatment reduces afterglow and enhances the self-trimming, which helps to reduce carbon buildup and soot. This wick’s open construction allows for better capillary flow when using heavily scented paraffin, vegetable based and beeswax wax blends.

Our patented construction also delivers a consistent rate of consumption. Fil-Tec Even Curl candlewick offers a higher yield than conventional braided wick, which means lower material costs and longer production runs. Our Even Curl candlewick is available on spools or waxed and tabbed to your manufacturing requirements.

Even Curl Burn Rate Chart

 

Our wick size description is very “user-friendly”. The description represents the two hour pool diameter in a 140° melt point straight cut paraffin wax. This method allows the user to easily compare wick size and performance. This chart provides the candle maker a starting point for wick selection. Your wick selection will depend on wax blend, color and fragrance additives.
